How Troubles aren’t as Bad as You Think

How Troubles aren't as Bad as You Think

I have heard it said that there are only 2 things that are certain death and taxes. I would like to add a third item troubles. There are many different names you may call it. Trials, tribulations, troubles, hard times, life. Bad luck , but they all mean the same thing, basically that you have encountered a situation in your life that  was not planned for by you or something happened that did not fit into the picture of the way your life was supposed to happen. We all have a picture of how we think life should happen. These images are formed from our life experiences and how we have been raised. But it does not matter where we are on this beautiful world or what situation we have been brought into we are going to face trials. The trials I face here in the United States are going to be different that the trials someone in Haiti or anywhere else in the world are going to have to face but we are both going to have things happen to us or around us that will deeply affect our lives or those around us. I believe God has a plan for each of us, and it is perfect plan and that he is in charge. I also believe what the bible says about the devil or Satan being in the world. God will allow things to happen to us or around us bring us closer to him and to teach us what he would have us to learn from each situation. God never promised us that this life would be easy or like the fairy tales where every one ends up happily ever after. James 1 "blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial "  We are to be a likeness or reflection of Jesus to the world around us. Jesus was love, we are to show love to those around us and be an example His of love in our responses to the troubles of this world. We should be examples of god's love for others to see him in our lives, If we claim him as our lord and savior that lives in us. Sometimes it will be easy to show love, sometimes it will be the hardest thing you have ever done, and the world will say for you not to do it. As in Matthew 19:26 "with man this is impossible, but with god all things are possible".If we a faithful to him and do a he leads we will be drawn closer to him. Just like the 3 brothers Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego that went into the fire because of their faith God sustained them and brought them through it and were examples of gods protection to king Nebuchadnezzar.  If we trust in Him and lean on him and not ourselves we will be lifted up and brought under His protection during times of Trouble. It may not be easy and you will probably be scorned for your decision but doing the right thing is always the best thing.
