Col Conk Lime Glycerine Shave Soap 2.25 oz.
I ordered new supplies at the first of the month. This is one of my new items I received, and my first glycerin based puck style soap. I was curious how it would perform due to its lower price at $5.45 for the 2.25 ounce puck. Compared to the artisan soft soap I had been using at $12.95 for 5 ounce tub. In my quest for the best wet shave, This is not the best performing soap although it is certainly adequate and functional for the job I like the artisan soft soap better. The col conk lime had a faint smell of lime when the pack was first opened, but now I can only smell a hint of lime after the shave and no lime during the shave. The soap lathers quickly and seems to like a wetter brush and a little more water in the cup when prepping the lather. The lather is stable and does not dissipate quickly but the lather does not seem as dense or as thick as the soft soap. For an economical soap it is a buy but as far as the better shave I have to stick with and recommended the soft soap at this time.
